The site is finally up

Kent from PRA has posted instructions on how to run ElMa on a Unix system

So Across 2 is finally ready, and this time it has a complete new name, Elasto Mania. It has 54 levels, 18 of which are also in the sharware version, which you can download from here: The 1.0 Shareware version of Elasto Mania (1122 kb)

What is new then? Well, the graphics have experienced a total face lift, as in the game has animated objects etc etc (which you of course can turn off incase you find them annoying) there is a multi-player mode via split-screen, integrated total time counter, to mention but a few. Also the price has been reduced greatly. Registering costs only US$ 9.95. The most of the levels are familiar to the ones that have played Across 1.2, but the records you had before, are not comparable with Elasto Mania's. For example, I drove 14,6 to Warm Up with the first try. The game itself is now to be run from Windows 9x/2k and requires 16 MB of RAM and DirectX5 or better.

Ok, now I know at least that wc2k13 won't be the last one, maybe 14 or then even 15 (naura vaan bluu :))

New contests at the contests site, in these four new patch contests you are allowed to use this mod.com patch, but if you want to get it, get it elsewhere, I won't distribute it :)

Got my computer fixed and can now continue updating the site more regularly. Also my mail etc work just fine. Then a few words about this patch or mod.com. You've probably heard of it or even tried it but in case not, it's a patch which enables you to finish tracks without taking any apples and rotate like hell. See, I've driven e.g. Uphill Battle down to 6,39. This patch causes several problems to some list keepers like for example total times lists, since anyone can easily drive very-close-to-wr-times and that way cheat on totals or other things. That's why I've had to freeze the Total times top-20 list and average times top-3 list for a while until I manage to find out a good solution. My honest opinion is that you really should not play Across with that patch. I know it's great fun at first, but if you play it for let's say hour, two or more, you totally lose the touch to normal Across. I myself tried to play Flat Track after some time with patch and got 22,30 :)

My computer got fucked up, and because of that, the replays for WCup2k 08 track may be sent even by 10 am (morning) MONDAY 6th December! I'm also unable to read my mail from my ISP, so if you want to reach me, mail my school mail, .
